MCM | Awarded Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) R10 Test Accreditation
Recently, MCM successfully obtained UNECE R10 testing laboratory qualification granted by the UK Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA). This marks another significant achievement for MCM in the field of regulatory certification for new energy vehicles, following its UNECE R100 and R136 testing qualifications.
This accreditation further enhances MCM's certification service capabilities for new energy vehicle products, extending its expertise from traction battery s afety under UNECE R100/R136 to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of automotive electrical and electronic systems under UNECE R10., which enables MCM to provide customers across the global new energy vehicle industry chain with more comprehensive and efficient one-stop certification services.
Scope of Application
UNECE R10 applies to vehicles of categories L, M, N, O, T, R and S, as well as to Electrical/Electronic Sub‑Assemblies (ESAs) and Separate Technical Units (STUs) installed on such vehicles, with respect to electromagnetic compatibility performance requirements.
Applicable products include, but are not limited to:
High-voltage Automotive Electrical Components:
1.Power Distribution Unit (PDU)
2.DC/DC converter
3.On-Board Charger (OBC)
4.Rechargeable Energy Storage System (REESS)
5.PTC heater
6.Electric compressor
7.Controllers for electric drive systems, etc.
Low-voltage Automotive Electronic Components:
1.On-board cameras
2.Displays
3.Event Data Recorders (EDR)
4.ECU control modules
5.Other on-board electronic devices, etc.
