▍Introduction
TISI is abbreviated form of Thai Industrial Standards Institute. TISI is a division of the Thai Ministry of Industry, responsible for the development of domestic and international standards that meet the needs of the country, as well as monitoring product and qualification assessment procedures to ensure that products meet the standards to obtain certification.
Thailand implements the TISI certification system, which combines compulsory certification with voluntary certification. For products that meet the standard, TISI mark is allowed to be affixed to product.
▍Testing standard and scope
● Testing standard: TIS 2217-2548 (2005), referring to IEC 62133: 2002
● Applicable battery: Secondary cells and batteries containing alkaline or other non-acid electrolytes, and for batteries made from them, for use in portable applications.
