▍Introduction
Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) of Vietnam stipulated that from October 1st, 2017, all batteries used in mobile phones, tablets and laptops must get DoC (Declaration of Conformity) approval before imported into Vietnam. Then from July 1st, 2018, it requires local testing in Vietnam. MIC stipulated that all regulated products (including batteries) shall get PQIR for clearance when imported into Vietnam. And SDoC is required for submission when applying for PQIR. On Dec. 31st, 2024, Vietnam government has released Regulation No. 23/2024/TT-BTTTT to replace the ICT Mark by CR mark. The ICT mark which was applied prior to the date can continue being used, the new application shall use the CR Mark.
▍Application flow
● Conducted local test in Vietnam to obtain QCVN 101:2020 /BTTTT test report
● Apply for CR MARK and issue SDoC (the applicant must be a Vietnamese company)
● Apply for PQIR
● Submit PQIR and complete the whole customs clearance.
